Grade 10 students: Thank you for completing the 3 surveys regarding the HP laptop project. Here are the links to the 3 surveys as well as some instructions for completing them.

1) Survey from the International Science and Technology Educators organization:

https://www.surveymk.com/s.aspx?sm=4iG3bgXP1aOrAaJhCiyhig_3d_3d

If you already completed this survey once on your home computer, you won’t be able to do it a second time (it records the IP address of your computer). You could try doing the survey on another computer.

2) Survey from Mrs. Ross Holton, Mrs. Durnin, and Mrs. Gascho:

3) Google Docs Survey. Students from semester 1 should have completed this survey in the fall as well. You will need to enter your password, which is your course code that you were a part of the project in. If you were in both math and science with these teachers, please use the course code that you used in the fall. The course code you will use will be one of the following: SNC2P, SNC2D, SBI3U, MPM2D. Consider which course you used the laptops in.

Thank you for providing your feedback on this important project. Your information will be used to provide improvements to future technology projects in math and science at CHSS.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Ross Holton, Mrs. Durnin, and Mrs. Gascho

Not sure if anyone from class will be checking the blog this weekend as you prepare for the exam, but I thought I'd give you some tips here...
Make sure you go through the Physics test. We didn't have time to take it up, but you can look up anything you got wrong. The physics questions on the exam are very similar to the unit test questions. See me at lunch on Monday if you need help with it.
Remember to review the Belgrave Creek Study (your analysis of the results), the Ecology Issues Test, any labs that we performed in chemistry, and all your chemistry quizes and tests.
Good luck with your studying...remember you can relax after the exams :)

The exam outline and review are posted under Class Notes now. I've also reposted the pH scale note as many of you expressed that you were unable to read the pdf format. Happy studying!

Today we looked at how to locate an image in a plane mirror. Students learned how to draw ray diagrams for these and how to describe the characteristics of an image using the "SALT" acronym. There are textbook questions for homework. See under "Homework".

I didn't update the blog during the last week of school before the break, but I will try to update more often as we go through these last couple of weeks of semester 1. There may be times when you need information at home when preparing for your exam. So, please check here often until your exam. Sometimes, I even give exam hints on here.....
